HDMI connection between PC and HDTV failed

Hi, I purchased a Calypso LCD TV. I connected my PC to the TV by a HDMI cable. The connection was fine and I could see everything on my PC and the TV. Today, I turned my PC and TV, the connection failed and a 'no signal' msg was shown on the TV. The PC model is ACER Aspire 5740-5780. I brought the TV to the seller and the connection was tested successful using the seller HDMI cable and my cable. What is wrong and how can I fix the problem? Thank you.

Try changing the resolution on the computer to one that the TV is compatible with. Also try hitting the key on your laptop that toggles between the display showing to the laptop screen and the HDMI output (usually Function - F5)

Hi Zeros, I didn't do anything else except reconnected my the HDMI cable to my PC, and it was connected successfully. I will keep your advice in mind in case this error may arise in the future. Thank you very much for youe help.

If it's windows 7 - hit the windows key + P a few times.... It will bring up the dialog for projector.
Welcome to the club.... I find it odd however that you came to Club Polk for a computer question, not anything to do with our audio products.Main Surround -
