Check this out, just pisses me off.

My wife has a friend, nice lady, a bit of a rock and roller and toker from the old days. Married, husband doesn't work, makes 6 figures. This lady owns a home in a nice suburb by me,valued at 500k. She also owns 3 other homes in the surrounding area. She inherits 400k about a year ago, blows threw it,gone. Real estate takes a dump, she gets upside down on all her properties including the one she lives in. Doesn't use a dime of the inherited cash to catch up on any of her mortgages.Stops making mortgage payments on her main home for almost a year. Applies for one of those government mortgage programs. She gets it. A 2% loan for the first 5 years and a cap of 4% over the life of the loan. My wife and I look at each other and say why the heck should we be responsible, pay our bills on time, when the system rewards failure, rewards those who game the system. I always try and hold myself to a higher standard, but this crap gets under my skin. I can't apply for such a loan because I'm not behind, I'm responsible. Something is half **** backwards here. Just venting is all. Just seems to me more and more lately, those that are responsible and play by the rules, get the shaft.

Yep...better to be an indigent...Hurricane Ike blew through a couple years ago and I was fully insured, fortunately unlike 80% of the island I only had 5g's of roof damage which in the last 10 years paid 15g's insurance. They gave me 2g's to fix...my neighbor uninsured got 5g's with no damage from FEMA...WTF

Ever read "Atlas Shrugged" by Ayn Rand? It's about a society where the few who are responsible carry the weight of all the shitbags. They finally decide to stop. That's what needs to happen here. The gov't is broken. I don't know how we fix it. This type of crap really pisses me off.

Glad to see that some of my back taxes are going to good use.

Although it is annoying, at best, to see the type of attitude and work ethic that is far too common nowadays (IMO), take some comfort in the fact that there is something worse: you could be like them.

Like the reference to "Atlas Shrugged", btw.

I still like to think that Karma will catch up with people like that. Something like a slow, agonizing death seems fitting.

It took 2 months for me and the wife just to refinance our house at 4.5%, and we have great credit. The only thing they didn't take was blood. But one of my wifes friends and her husband went on a huge buying spree, New truck, boat, 4 wheelers you name it. Foreclosed on there home and of course everything was tied to the house the only thing they had to give up was the truck.

Now they have another home and everything they gained is f@#$%g paid for. So I understand your frustration..

I would love to agree Jesse, accept the Karma System is rigged to favor those that were taken advantage of under the previous Karma System.:tongue:

The rich all got that way by being shitbags and they don't care for anyone else. Now is the time to take everything they worked for and give it all to those that want to sleep all day and party all night.:tongue:

Thankfully, our education system has gotten to be number one in the world at teaching self esteem and self worth. Who needs to know how to read, write, or what 2+2 is when you are going to never need to worry about a job anyway.:confused:

The system in place right now is so EFFED UP, and I agree with you Tony. All I can say is that in order to fix it, we need to be far more vigilant with who we send to represent us. It needs to stop before there is nothing left to represent.

The thing is, this stuff creates a mentality of " if you can't beat 'em,join 'em". Takes a strong person to do the right thing these days. Alot of people I know think I'm stupid for not taking advantage of the system, because as they put it, "everyone else is." Regardless, I'm not letting it get me down this x-mas season. Just filled up the trunk with 350 bucks worth of toys to drop off at Toys for Tots. I feel much better.
