Polk Monitors near my area

I've been wanting a pair of vintage Polk monitors for awhile but refuse to pay an arm and a leg for shipping.

Does anyone near me have a pair they're willing to part with? I've checked out the San Jose CL and the items up there are priced pretty high up there. That and it's an hour+ drive to SJ not to mention the fact that the seller could sell them to someone else.

Anyway, I'm interested in some Monitor 5's, 7's, or 10's. Enclosure must be presentable with all drivers working. Stands are a plus and not required. Wanting to pair these up with my newly acquired Marantz for a budget/vintage rig.

Unless someone wants to donate a pair and I'll cover shipping :tongue::tongue:

I gotta say I'm new here and had no idea what the bump was but people kept saying it. Makes sense now. Most helpful, sir. :)

Amazing how a picture can clarify things. I guess they are worth a thousand words.

Would also like to add, I'm looking for an older Sony ES or Pioneer Elite model player to use as my source. Single disc preferred (I know Pio Elite's came in changer models), and does not have to be in mint shape. Looking for something inexpensive yet nice for the Marantz.

Bedroom setup! Just need some Monitors.

Ah, didn't know you posted in my thread but yes DSkip I saw the listing. The bid just went up higher and higher lol.

There's a pair up there for $250 but the seller is firm at that price.

    Oh and, BUMP!

    About 6 hours from L.A.

I've made the drive to/from countless times since I was stationed out there in Camp Pendleton so I'm familiar with the route. I get horrible gas mileage but I'd be willing to drive a little while for them. Let me know what's up.

Idk how much I'd drive for 5's though....I'd waste just as much money in gas to/from as I'd pay for the 5's I bet lol.
