Need help with fuses

I have a pair of 7a's with no fuses...... there is a scribbled note on the back that says "fuses:Hi's 1 System 1.6" I am going to assume that they are standard 250 v fuses and the # refers to the amp rating. Are they slow blows or normal and where do I find the 1.6 (I can find 1.5 and 2 that would fit)..... Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Mike

    welcome to Club Polk.

    I would use standard fuses.
1.5 or 2.0 would be fine

by the way what is the power rating of your amplifier / receiver ?

    should have added 125V with the 1.5 A or 2.0 A values

Have 3 power sources for these and am planning on finding the best fit.....
Pioneer SX-780, Pioneer SX-880 receivers, and Kenwood KA-9100 Integrated Amp.
Was able to decipher the fuses on a buddies pair for the tweeters, 250V 1 amp fast, The others were illegible but appear to be 250V 1.6 amp slow blows....... just need some confirmation on the "system" ones.. Thanks for all the help.

ps The 780 sounded weak (poor bass response), the 880 sounded fantastic and the Kenwood is better suited to my Infinity QLS III's (way too much power for the 7's)

pps The system is up and playing now in my 8 year old daughters bedroom, got tired of her listening to weak systems of today and now she is hooked on quality watts.

Sorry, should have read the question fully.
The 780 is very conservatively rated at 45 wpc, the 880 is rated at 60 wpc also very conservatively and the Kenwood is rated at 105 wpc and actually is closer to 150 and is 2 ohm stable......

All that doesn't matter unless they blow everytime you power them up, and you mentioned missing correct?....I have no idea why the poster even asked aside from personal knowledge. If that was the case, you have bigger problems

You simply need a fuse to move further.

    1A 250V, Fast, BUSS.

found this to help you choose a fuse
considering the speaker and amp specs

I guess I don't understand how this helps with the vintage Polk Speakers that miklbikl was asking about. The fuse is for the tweeter circuit only and the fuses that dorokusai listed are the recommended fuses for that speaker. Of course you can always be more conservative and use a lower rating if you want.

Dude, do you even read what people are asking. Way to much info and you don't stop adding. Seriously calm down a notch it's getting annoying.

All the OP needed was to know the fuse to use. Doro told him the right one. Adding a list of fuses to amp thingy is useless in this conversation. All he needs is four 1A 250V, Fast, BUSS fuses. End of that discussion.

Just verifying that you may be asking
about internal system fuses for the audio components ie Pioneer and Kenwood

and they may well be slow blow fuses for the AC line or Power Supply.
1.5 A thru 2.0 A Slow blow would be fine.

If they are all on the same AC outlet you might just consider a Power Strip
    that has a a protective-spike circuitry / breaker / built in .

Sorry about the overload of info.

Do not use a slow blow fuse for a Polk loudspeaker.

NO, NEVER EVER a larger fuse, you can use smaller rating fuse as pointed out by Doro (Mark) but a larger rating is a NO-NO.
