I"ve got an Onkyo TX NR -708 That I'm going to be running my 5.1 setup. Are the A5s set up for bi amping and is it the way to go?

Yes, they can be bi amped but will not made a difference, they're very efficient speakers.
I'd say atleast give it a try so you'll know for yourself.

My apologies, Polks spec's list them as only having 5 way binding posts v. the dual 5 way binding posts listed for the A7's

Bi-amping with an AVR is not bi-amping as all the channels share the same power supply, so don't bother as it is a complete waste of time and energy.

Please don't beat me down to hard but I figured 110w of power would be a plenty for these towers. Does it allow you to crossover each comp. for more controll?

I'm unsure what it is that you are asking.

No, you are stuck with the crossovers in the speaker, they can't be bypassed. No matter, I'm sure Polk picked the best crossover frequency for the drivers used.

Thanks guys!! Now if I can just figure out how to run this reciever I'll be alright. I have more experience with car audio and that helps by having a general understanding but this AVR does everything!

Read the manual, even the parts you may think don't apply to you. Car audio is a little different but some principles are the same. Good luck and let us know how it turns out.
