The isolator (MIDAS TOUCH) has 3 spikes facing up and 3 spikes facing down, all adjustable and can be located to suite arm and cart. True isolation of the cartridge from the arm. You will hear better focus, better extensions and more solid sound. It is the same as having cones / spikes under the turntable and also speakers as well as equipment. The cartridge vibrates all the time while it is tracking.

    Good question. It won't work on Soundsmith carts, but Grados are fine obviously. Any cart with a large body (e.g. Zu) would fine. I can find the dimensions or check and post them here.

    I would only use it on arms with adjustable VTA (vertical tracking angle). By putting it between the mounting surface on the arm and the cartridge it will lower the cartridge in relation to the arm. To compensate you must raise the back of the arm to maintiain a similar VTA. I'm very curious as to how well it works but don't have enough spare coin right now. Good luck on the sale doc.
