Need to program my PS3 controller to play on another PS3?

I just bought my second PS3 {250}GB ,and I have 5 or six PS3 cordless controllers.My question is this. I am playing and after weeks of playing my controller lights blink and it shuts off. How do I assign another controller to that pS3 I am using? Or do I just have to mark each controller 60GB or 250GB? thanks,Darryl

plug it in with the cable to the usb port... fastest way to do it.Main Surround -

it's one of those recessed buttons you have to push with a pin.
