Hello,

How many of you would be interested in having a tour of Polk Audio HQ?

F1Nut and myself are planning on going in AUGUST, we havn't nailed a date down, because we thought this event would also be of interest to the forum.

What dates work for you guys? Please only really interested parties respond, this could be a logistical nightmare and I would like to have it go as smoothly as possible.

Micah has been contacted, and promises a snag free demo in the bonafide Polk Audio demo room. Further details will be posted, I just wanted to get this started asap.

I am offering 100% assistance in obtaining local information for travel, lodging and what have you. We could stage in Damascus, Maryland, at my house, then pack up and get our travel on. I have room for 2 more people in my car, I am not sure if F1(Jesse) is coming with me or driving, so as it stands he's in. I will provide food and refreshments for the trip or before, however you guys decide. Afterwards a big meal in Baltimore Inner Harbor should cap the day off.

There are a couple suprises in store, so figure it out Polk forum and let me know. Contact me directly if you wish, dorokusai@comcast.net

Thanks for looking.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

I wish I had more free time. I'd go if it weren't for that. It'd be about a half day's drive to get down to Maryland from where I live in PA, I think.

Man, I wish I was 1/2 a days drive away. I'd be there in a heartbeat! Unfortunately, I'm about as far away as you can get and still be in the continental US:(

Maybe I can figure out how to make it a business trip. Hmm:D

What are you guys planning on doing here?? Besides walk around and see the offices. I hope you are aware that the Baltimore one is corp. office and not the factory or distribution warehouse. Let me know maybe it's more interesting then I would have imagined.

We are doing that and getting demo time in the official Polk Audio demo room, with LSi's and the new RTi's. Justin and Paul will be around to meet and greet....perhaps a couple neat suprises in store.

    Seriously,
Even the "offices" are cool at polk. As you make the maze from one place to the next there are weird speaker designs sitting all over the place. You may even accidentally see a new top secret design on someones monitor. (they will obviously have to end your existence if that happens). Totally cool experience.

EDIT: If I go again I'll take my SDA 1.2's and get Matt Polk to autograph the sides... :D

I've been in DC twice and was planning this year to go down to
N.J and Va but I don't know when exactly or even if i'll be going.

    Jesse, I don't know yet.

Chuck, get Matt Polk to autograph the sides? what side...on the
panel trim? if yes...then take it a part and bring that panel
alone;) you don't need to bring the whole speakers:D

I was kidding but I must admit that would be cool! Just imagine it, you run this big speaker company and people come walking through the door with various wood panels off of their speakers expecting you to sign them... :D
