Another PSW505 Setup Question

PSW505 just arrived today and man, it looks great. I've got it paired with a Yamaha RX-V367 Receiver, 2 Polk Monitor 40 Series II Bookshelf's for front surround and 2 Polk RM6751 Satellites for rear surround.

I followed the Recommended setup and turned off the Sub in the receiver and wired the front surrounds to pass through the sub first. I can hear the sub a bit, but not all that much, so I'm wondering what other settings I should check.

The RX-V367 does have Sub-Out, should I just use that and direct wire the front satellites? If so, I'm not sure if I should use the right/left unfiltered or LFE filtered in?

Any other tweaks I should mess with on the Phase or Low Pass?

Thanks!

    Meatball,
Try using the lfe.You will hear a big difference. Also set your reciever to small for the fronts. If you have crossover settings set them at 80.Oh yea welcome to cp the best audio forum on the net.

As far as the phase use your ear. That is the best judgement.

Awesome, thanks! I'll give that a shot. I really wish they'd have made that the 'Recommended Setup' in the manual so I didn't spend half an hour running all those extra wires :)

Finally got around to redoing the cabling, used a single RCA cable with the Sub Out/LFE and it sounds much better! Thanks!

Need some advice on my psw504. I received the sub about three weeks ago and just love the sound. today there was a loud shrieking sound coming from the speaker. i was able to duplicate the noise by moving the lfe cablein the rear of the speaker. i feel that the connection going to the back of the speaker probably is not snug enough. My question is can i use a regular RCA cable, i have few high quality ones hanging out in my basement, or does it have to be lfe specified?

A regular RCA cable of quality will work...has to be long enough though.
