So much for putting together a bedroom HT system with "leftover" stuff! The M40s came in first and were mated with 3 Bose 2x cubes being used as center and surround duty. Not great.

So the M30s were ordered to replace the cubes as surrounds. They're here - look good. Wired up but only music so far.

As it turned out, when ordering the 30s I saw Newegg had lowered the price of the 40s since I bought mine and shot them an email about price protection. In extending an olive branch of commerce, they shot me back a coupon that brought down the price of a new CS1 to a near laughable purchase point. Should be here by the end of the week. Last cube array gone.

So there we have it. Thanks to Newegg - and my chronic ear problem, the "leftover" stuff is heading for a guest room.

BTW, I've set the Monitors up on Sanus basic stands, 24" for the fronts and 16" for the rears. They're certainly functional, sturdy enough and value priced from Amazon if furniture quality isn't required.

No doubt, the Monitor Series II speakers with Newegg's pricing made for an excellent system upgrade despite the project almost completely missing its "target."

haha! don't sweat it, these projects always do... As long as you didn't buy new speakers instead of paying your electricity bill, you're probably ok

Cool man. Yeah, actually I ordered a set of 70's, 50's and C2 myself. Just couldn't pass up the deals NewEgg has on these things.
