I agree with Mark, Ted. Listen to Shack, play it safe. Like you pointed out you are too old to start over.

It wouldn't hurt to possibly consult with a financial advisor. He can make sure your investments are in good order & check all your other financial needs as well.

If you know any of your friends or family that use an advisor ask them questions about their service etc.

Perhaps you should also start investigating how you are going to fill your time when you do retire.

Is it hemorrhoids that makes you old fat guys buy softails instead of a proper rigid?

Retire? Pfft. What's he gonna do, play golf? Sit at a diner until his hind end is permanently attached to the stool? Big Daddy will go out on CNN one day, there will be a huge smoking, grease laden crater. That's it.
