I was looking around for the heck of it and then seen the going price :eek:.. I realize it's supose to be good (We have yet to see it. We.... or I am waiting for somethings to transform). I sure hope the price will (I'm sure it will) calm down soon cause I sure as hell wont pay that much for it.

I would have to have some SERIOUS disposable income to pony up $200 plus for a so so movie.
Check that, I would NEVER pony up that kind of dough for ANY movie. -
Well, since Avatar has never been released in 3D on DVD it is probably over priced for a non-existent product. Once it is released it will be the normal price.Lumin X1 file player, Westminster Labs interconnect cable
Sony XA-5400ES SACD; Pass XP-22 pre; X600.5 amps
Magico S5 MKII Mcast Rose speakers; SPOD spikes
Shunyata Triton v3/Typhon QR on source, Denali 2000 (2) on amps

Nope. Just depends on how they want to market/bundle it. Disney has done a great job packaging and pricing their blu-rays. They almost always have a $10 off coupon from their rewards site for new release combo packs. These include the blu-ray, dvd, and a digital copy so the final price is only about $14-$15 for all three. In the case of the 3D Christmas Carol, they also included the 3D blu-ray for the same cost. So I've got the 3D disk and don't even have a 3D TV just because it was the cheapest option on release day. -

Here's a link to an article about the deal if anyone is interested in reading about it:

Seems like a pretty big deal for Panasonic to have it as an exclusive. If I were in the market for 3D this would definitely be a deciding factor and I don't even like the movie but it sure looks purdee and sounds cool. I wonder how long they have the rights for it?Panny 55-st30 plasma
