After a lot of years of spilled coffee, cokes and cigarette ashes a lot of my Cd's are in need of some serious cleaning before I use them in my new cdp
Any suggestions on the best product(s) to use,or good home brews?
Thanks

A Stoner product called Invisible Glass would remove any and all grime and oils.~ In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? If I chase it, I might just catch excellence. ~

For many years I've used Rain-X on CDs and DVDs. Not only can it clean them I think it can improve the sound when played with lesser expensive CD players that use plastic lenses and less evolved error correction systems.

Wow.
any special applicator ?
do you use it with a microfiber cloth to apply and remove or a kim wipe ?
what amount ... a few drops or so ?
Thanks -
Hello,
I use 100% cotton balls, a few drops around the surface. Then wipe around the disc and follow up with another cotton ball to polish the surface. If you look at your reflection in the disc before and after it should look more reflective.
Enjoy, Ken -
Mr. Swauger, I wasn't kidding....are you?
I have this strange feeling that something just ain't right with that....~ In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? If I chase it, I might just catch excellence. ~
