Hello, I really don't like the way my psw 450 sub sounds. I would really like a sub that matches my setup and has good thump, with deep, solid, clean, crisp sound. The psw 450 sounds mushy and hollow, I'm not sure what words to use to describe it, I just know it dosn't sound that good and its been like that since I've had it, theres nothing wrong with the speaker, that's just the way it sounds.

My setup is a Onkyo 1008 pushing 2 rt1000I front towers, a csi30 center channel, 2 fxi30 bi/di pole surrounds, 2 rti70 rear surrounds and the psw450 sub. My tv is about 8 ft in front of the couch with the towers on either side and the center is underneath the fireplace mantle and the tv is above, the towers and center are also about 8 ft away. The sub is off to my left about 8ft between 9-10 with the the surround at 10-11 o'clock about 6 ft up on the wall, the tv is 12 o'clock for reference. The other surround is at 4-5 o'clock on the wall and the rear surrounds are behind the couch about 10 feet away at 6 o'clock.

What is a good polk sub that would match my system and cost me under $500. My speakers are from around 2005 I believe, i bought them used. The look of the sub isn't as important as how it sounds but I would like it to match up somewhat aesthetically. All my speakers are black also.

Any help, input, comments would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much guys.
