better money spent, rti150 floor standers, or spend money on bookshelf of top line lsi
denon av3300, with marantz 125 watt monoblocks driving them.
subs will be used, in case that makes a difference in opinion.
also, what is your opinion of 150s outright.
i have a guy wanting to trade some mint ones for chrome plated s&w 38.

I've heard the RTi150's on many occasions and always left impressed. The scale and authority these speakers convey is unreal. The laid back top end does smooth over the utmost detail so there is a trade off.
Here's a review: http://www.hometheatersound.com/equipment/polkaudio_rti150_csi40_rti38_psw505.htm
The LSi's are a more delicate speaker but the bookshelf models won't come close to hard hitting dynamics of the 150's.Display: Sony 42" LCD
Sources: Harman Kardon DVD-27,
Panasonic DMP-BDT110 blu ray player
AVR: Sony STR-DA2400ES
Amps: Sonance Sonamp 260(fronts),
Kenwood KM-894(surrounds)
Fronts: NHT 2.5
Center: NHT VS-1.2A
Surrounds: NHT Super One
Subwoofer: SVS PB10-ISD -
Music LSI
HT RTI -
i kinda thought the big boys would bring it, i had not thought about the diff between ht and music.
i might jump on the trade, it was my dads, but with no kids to leave stuff to, i know he would say, turn it into what you want.
thanks for the opinions guys, anybody else?humpty dumpty was pushed -
Go for it. I just sold a pair of rti150's a few hours ago. I loved them but I was using them for surround duty. They are awesome sounding speakers. And if you ever decide to add an external amp on them watch out. These things can put out alot of bass. I was surprised when I hooked 2 emotiva xpa-1 amps up. I had to get up and look and make sure my sub was still off. GREAT SPEAKERS
