I just received this today and was curious if you guys that own this amp has noticed a Transformer hum when you turn it on?
- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit.

I had one for a good yr. before I picked up my Rotel RMB-1095 multi-channel amp...it performed great & was quiet as a church mouse. No noise what so ever from the amp. If you bought it new call their CS for an exchange. Outlaw's CS is great."2 Channel & 11.2 HT "Two Channel:Magnepan LRSSchiit Audio Freya S - SS preConsonance Ref 50 - Tube preParasound HALO A21+ 2 channel ampBluesound NODE 2i streameriFi NEO iDSD DAC Oppo BDP-93KEF KC62 sub Home Theater:Full blown 11.2 set up.

The sound from the speakers are quiet, but the amp emits a hum within 1.5ft of the chasis...

Are you sure the outlet you have it connected to is grounded? You might have ground loop feedback as well.....
I myself dont notice any hums w/ my Carver and I have it directly connected to the wall as well...
I would contact Outlaw support and see what idea's they have as well. Sorry I cant be of more help"....not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted." William Bruce Cameron, Informal Sociology: A Casual Introduction to Sociological Thinking (1963) -
I had bsoko's for a couple weeks and didn't notice any hum at all that I can remember.. If he's feeling better, he might weigh-in.. I think it has a couple running in one of his rigs now..

It's possible others did not notice it, or it didn't register in their brain. We all have different standards, tolerances, etc.Lumin X1 file player, Westminster Labs interconnect cable

A few thoughts.
1)It might just be loose and simply need some tightening.(easy fix)
2)One of the windings is loose and vibrating.(the fix is replacement).
3)Sometimes there is a small amount of DC riding on the AC neutral that even though low in level can cause Toroid type Xformers to buzz.(the fix is a simple DC flter)
