i recently picked up a set of darn near perfect condition S6's to go into my bedroom, and after "testing them out" on my set up downstairs, i honestly think i fell in love with these! i have used rta 8t's, 8tl's, monitor 10b's, and newer monitor 60's, and these speakers appear to blow the others out of the water. am i going nuts? or am i just THAT impressed with these speakers that they are so much more than i anticipated them to be? ive been considering adding this to my main rig with a set of stands now. what is everyone elses opinions on these little guys?

I had a chance to snag some S10's for only $75 and I'm still kicking myself in the butt for missing them. There was a review for your speakers in the Chicago Tribune and the reviewer was very impressed. I haven't heard anything but good things about that particular line so I'm surprised they were never as popular as others lineups from Polk.

I noticed some S10's on Seattle CL today. Never heard the S series myself.

I have S10s (that I payed $75 for, maybe I picked up HTguru's pair) that I think are phenomenal at that price range. Sadly, I haven't had the opportunity to hear many speakers, but they are multiple orders of magnitude better than the Monitor 40 bookshelves I was using before them. Clear highs, accurate mids (a bit sterile but I think that's my SS equipment), and respectable lows for two channel listening. Sometimes they sound too warm for my taste, and the sound stage could be deeper, but overall a nice speaker.

I have a pair of S8s I picked up from Goodwill. Although they are in storage I was amazed at how good they sounded. Their biggest drawback is that the cabinets look cheap. Very cheap. I still can't figure out what Polk was thinking when they designed the cabs.
