It was pure entertainment! Fast paced and lots going on. Things went boom and the plot didn't make my brain hurt thinking about it.

Was a great movie kept me on edge and that was a good thing. What is even more amazing is it is based on true events.

I saw this over the weekend. I liked it. I'm not sure which one I like better...this one or "Runaway Train" with Jon Voight and Eric Roberts.

Of course in real life they would of taken out the radiators on the control unit thus shutting down the power units due to the automatic shut down for overheating kicking in.

Other than that is was pretty realistic

Actually that's not at all what they did.

Here are some stories from the train that the movie is based on :

My way involved blowing a hole in the radiator unit and was much more exciting than real life! I remember reading the original story, but I thought as they mentioned it was due to the engineer having a heart attack. I guess that wasn't the case.

Other than that is was pretty realistic

Especially the part about trying to derail the train with several tanker cars loaded with highly toxic chemicals in the middle of a small town with hundreds (if not thousands) of police firemen, EMS and bystanders right next to the tracks. That was very realistic.

Just watched this on BD last night. Good movie. I guess if they went with the actual story line, prolly wouldn't have been that exciting.

I had to wonder what the writers/director was thinking when they made this scene. Did they forget what's on the train?
