    During the day, it's a HIKE to get anywhere to get something to eat so at work, an MRE will suffice.

    Damn right, Ima get my scrimp and save on.

    Yes, bar tabs are NO issue. Found the one bar in Oman with Boddington's on tap. Need I say more?

    To the extreme. I've eaten those when in my prime, not too bad, not too good. Now, forget it. I'd need a bottle of prune juice to help the colon expressway sig-alert clear up.

    Actually, the trick to MRE's (Meals Rejected by Ethiopians) is to get the vegetarian ones. Here's what you do, when you open a case of 24 you immediately hoard the vegetarian ones, the ham slice, spaghetti and chicken in salsa. Heat 'em up and they aren't bad.

    Oh, and Ron has hit the nail on the head, they will clog you up which is good because it counteracts what I'm eating on the outside which goes through me like almost instantaneously.

    Side note.....for cool factor we had a Pina Colada at Trader Vic's last night (think Werewolves of London)...

    OK, here is the deal. Our base is closing down so we are now to the point where we have taken all the tents down, so the few remaining people (me and a few of my troops) have moved into a hotel. There is a Trader Vic's there so we splurged and went and had a few pina coladas....

    Food was pretty good, but damn expensive!!
