Different OHMs on front/rear channels of the amp

Let's say i have 4ohm speakers in the front and 2ohm speakers in the rear.
How does it work with a 4-channel amp that does both?

Fronts will still "get" 4ohm and rear will "get" 2ohms or both will have 3ohms?? or either 4 or2 for all 4 speakers??
Really not sure how it work in this case.
Amp i'm talking about is PA500.4 but i'm sure same would apply for any other amp that works with 4 and 2ohm speakers. (and is rated to rms watts accordinly)

    Yes. If your amp can handle 2 ohm stereo loads, then itll play the rear speakers at 2 and the fronts at 4.

    What speakers are you using that are 2ohm nominal?

    ^^ that + there are 2 ohms speakers. 6.5'' Image Dynamics CX62 is what i was looking at. they are 2 ohms. There's also a lot of 6.5'' midbass woofers out there. Don't even have to go far, MMs are 2.7 :)
