A colleague and I were just discussing that:

    Sellout Woot

I then had to argue in Polk's favor here at work, as he decided to take the "idiot masses" at their word...

Just being on the Interwebs attracts fools. The name of a site isn't necessarily as important.

Nice job, doro. I just read your post--well done. I have to agree. I have a couple of Energy bookshelves with that aluminum dome and your review is SPOT on. Otherwise, these days, most of my speakers are Polks...The bug has bitten me....SDAs, Monitors, Lsis, Rtis, and Monitor 70 HT based system.

And yes there is some 'love' for Energy as well--HERE! But that's because we're all about "QUALITY" at CLUB POLK!!

Funny they think Polk is low end, but find $400 a speaker outrageous pricing for a speaker. High end must start about $50? A pair.

I love the comment about the best speakers under $10k....give me a break! Not saying they are not decent speakers since I've never actually had my ears on them...but seriously!

    you better be!
So... is anybody actually considering these? From what I see, you would be jumping in at $800/pair BASICALLY blind. I have been purchasing speakers for years now (granted, only for personal use) and never heard of this brand. Though Polk is basically a glorified 'cheapo' brand, I would still recommend their product for build quality and price.

My personal speakers consist of JBL and Klipsch, but from what I have seen I would not buy these, as better items can be bought (with better name recognition [not that name recognition means much practically] and [more importantly] better quality... e.g. Polk) for less money.
Some people just don't know how to express themselves and wind up contradicting themselves "Glorified cheap obrabd <=> recommend for built quality and price <=> better quality e.g. Polk:confused::confused: This weirdo is trying to speak up for Polk but is not really doing it in an effective way, quite the opposite. "If I am need of a friend's back-up, this is neither the type of friend or back-up I actually need".

Mark, nice short and sweet punches, no one dared to respond to any of your 2 posts. It is just like putting a tight fit cork on a bottle, nothing can come out of it afterward, very effective

The below comment is also pretty funny.
    You're comparing a yugo to a ferrari.
This one is even funnier
Energy, like other hi-end entry brands...
ROTFLMAO (make up your mind, high end or entry level???)! I guess every places have their FANBOYS" which are blind and won't see anything further than the tip of their noze and actually believe that "they know that they know that no one else knows". Like Polk, Energy is a good brand for the buck but claiming high end :rolleyes: I guess some "knows better than I"...
