This has all happened in a year and a half, and with little money. I've been very fortunate to find good deals, and have a lot of gracious friends.

I started upside down with a spank on the ****. Though not finished yet,i wound up with 2 x-wifes,a mortgage than won't quit, school costs, 2 kids,2 grandkids, which but a lid on the rabbit hole this hobby creates.

A old zenith record player with built in speakers to Legacy Focus 20/20's, a Butler Hybrid amp, and pioneer elite , and everything you can imagine inbetween. My old Sonic Frontiers stuff was my fav,and someday I'll get back to that type of gear. Had pretty much something from every line Polk has ever made with my favs being monitor 7's, sda 2b,1.2TL, 3000P'S, SRT's...for ht that is. I always thought the SRT system was great for HT but lacked musically. I also had a Cinepro 3k6 that I was fond of. Too much to list all seperately, but lifestyle, kids, marriage, play a role in what comes and what goes. If I was single, then thats a whole nutha story.
    HT SYSTEM-
    Sony 850c 4k
    Pioneer elite vhx 21
    Sony 4k BRP
    SVS SB-2000
    Polk Sig. 20's
    Polk FX500 surrounds

    Cables-
    Acoustic zen Satori speaker cables
    Acoustic zen Matrix 2 IC's
    Wireworld eclipse 7 ic's
    Audio metallurgy ga-o digital cable

    Kitchen

    Sonos zp90
    Grant Fidelity tube dac
    B&k 1420

The journey's too long to recount every step, but I started in 1974 with this receiver:

    attachment.php?attachmentid=53945&stc=1&d=1292459740

a pair of Utah speakers, a Garrard turntable and an Olsen tape deck.

I still have the receiver and speakers somewhere...

^^^I actually had that exact receiver^^^

IIRC, that one replaced my first one which was a Scott. Damn, that was back when vinyl, RTR and cassettes were all you had. Well, that and 8-track if you were unlucky enough.
~ In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? If I chase it, I might just catch excellence. ~
