I am thinking of upgrading my home theatre system, Im currently running a Cerwin Vega 5.1, my amp is a carver av 705x, Carver processor, E-712 300W main CV's with 2 bookshelfs and center channel with a 10 in CV sub.

Hence id like to upgrade to some Polk Audio, my price range is mostly With either the TSi series or The older Moniter series, Moniter 70 etc, So my Question is Am i better off going with the TSi series or the older Moniter series?

Any help would be much appreciated. - Chris

I think Monitor 70 Series II are very well regarded on here (see newegg). Good bang for the buck ..you could get CS2/CS20, Monitor 40s, psw-505 sub and just scratch the $1000 mark.
ALL BOXED UP for a while until I save up for a new place :(

    Home Theater:
    KEF Q900s / MIT Shotgun S3 / MIT CVT2 ICs | KEF Q600C | Polk FXi5 | BJC Wire | Signal / AQ ICs | Shunyata / Pangea PCs | Pioneer Elite SC 57 | Parasound NC2100 Pre | NAD M25 | Marantz SA8001 | Schiit Gungnir DAC | SB Touch

    2 Channel:
    Polk LSi9 (xo mods), Polk DSW MicroPro 2000 sub | NAD c375BEE | W4S DAC1 | SB Touch | Marantz SA-8001 | MIT AVt 2 | Kimber Hero / AQ / Signal ICs | Shunyata / Signal PCs

So you think the moniter series is a better speaker or just a better bang for the buck? I am limited on funds but im trying to build a system that will sounds Good with Movies and music, and dont wanna do it too cheap because i probly wont have a chance to upgrade again for a long time.

Monitor 70 are definitely your best bang for the buck at this point. Check for the sales if you are not in a hurry

Oh BTW, welcome to Club Polk:)
