Can you folks please start using the tags that are available?

If you don't like them, that sucks but your thread will still be using them eventually.

Polk bought the current version of vBulletin to include that feature, so let's start using it as a habit if at all possible.

Does this mean you will be adding support for tapatalk?

The tags do make searching and sifting much easier. I like when people use them.

I'll have to ask Don, not sure. I think it's a cool feature for mobile users but PatrickC is the Polk web nerd. He decides what happens, period.

Okay, I have searched and searched and can't figure out HTF you change or add "SOLD". These tag things exist still? HTF do you find them?

    George,
I am pretty sure the only people who can change a thread to "SOLD" are the mods.

Yep, Doro's talking about selecting the "For Sale" tag when somebody initially creates the For Sale thread/listing. Once it's obvious from the content in the thread that the item(s) are sold, a Mod will change it to "Sold". It can't be added or changed after a the listing is already created.

So based on your recent Monitor 10 listing, you did it correctly by selecting the "For Sale" tag/flag as well as clearly indicating that they were SOLD.

Mmadden is correct, MODS change the tags to SOLD. If you simply mark or bump your thread as SOLD, it will be changed in a short period of time.

Polk is reviewing the Flea Market more closely so just be compliant with common sense and report your questions or problems accordingly. Yes, we're aware of the issue with goods not being self owned property and it's being addressed privately.

If you do not OWN the items you are selling in the Flea Market, do not sell them. You cannot sell things for friends or family members. You take ownership of every deal in this FM when you post it.

I encourage every member posting and potentially buying, to exchange personal information during the deal, as if you were making a handshake.

Polk assumes no responsibility for any transactions, as stated in the rules, that originate within the FM. However, any obvious abuse and/or suspect deals that are placed within it, will be watched closely and reported posts will be reviewed and acted upon. DO NOT come here and sell your products without taking responsibility from end to end nor believe that this has turned into a pawn shop.

We have the BEST aftermarket sales area that I've come across in my travels, let's keep it that way and police it as such.

    +1

Will say though I love the way things are done here. I've dealt maybe 2 or 3 times on other forums and never received feedback or just had a lack of constant communication (not on my end).

After paying a guy over 3 1/2 weeks ago, my item was finally shipped (still on it's merry way). This was for a car part....and the guy only lives 6hours away from me! It could've been here 3 weeks and a day ago :mad::mad:

I have no idea how many theads I've come across where all of the gear is sold but they are still labeled as "For Sale". I'm not usually one to be picky, but the mods could probably do a little better on checking up on this stuff.

I'm pretty much the only one who hawkishly monitors the FM. Even if it's the only MOD duty that I was kept on for...I'm human. I try and sort thru them during the week when able to do so but only 2 pages back.

Also, some old stuff gets bumped accidentally by new/old members, it happens. Sometimes that's in order to initiate some new conversation or talk about what was actually sold....if it was, what for, opinions, etc, etc.

If I miss a couple, sorry for the inconvenience and hope that therapy will assist down the road.
