    I agree Kevin. I know those cables fall onto a number of different "levels", but I'm more interested in the conductor types/styles and cables construction as pertaining to sound quality. It will not be a scientific test what-so-ever (no control), but should give me (and any readers) a good comparison. I should also end up with a pair of ICs I really like; not that it will mean I keep them any longer than any other ICs...

    Ill bet on the PS Audio Transcendent to be the best of the bunch.

    I finally received my last set of ICs for the test, and ended up getting a pair of PS Audio xStream Reference ICs as they were more affordable for the shootout. Here is the final IC list and I will post a follow-up thread with results and info when the testing concludes:

    Cardas Crosslink (stranded multi-gauge copper), Transparent MusicLink Plus (stranded copper with network), DH Labs Pro Studio (shielded, silver plated stranded copper), Esoteric Audio E7 (solid core silver plated copper), and PS Audio Reference (solid core copper).
