Same here! Got my large crock pot rockin right now.
2 thick Black Angus beef slabs, tomato soup / cream of mushroom / onion soup mix all mixed together. Some Monterey seasoning on the beef. I have an aluminum foil "boat" with taters and carrots sitting in there as well.

Must be a roast kinda day. My wife has one in the works as well.
2 whole onions slow cooked in bacon grease, and the bottle of Guinness makes it very rich. I can't wait! -
Great, now you all are making me very hungry. Does anyone have a good chilli recipe? But instead of using ground beef I would use turkey.Marantz AV-7705 PrePro, Classé 5 channel 200wpc Amp, Oppo 103 BluRay, Rotel RCD-1072 CDP, Sony XBR-49X800E TV, Polk S60 Main Speakers, Polk ES30 Center Channel, Polk S15 Surround Speakers SVS SB12-NSD x2

I just made chili last night. I really don't have a "recipe" per se, as I don't measure. Freddy will tell you it's pretty damn good though
Ingredients:
Black beans
Pinto beans
Ground beef
Bacon
Onions
Poblano peppers
1 or 2 chipotle peppers
Garlic
Brown sugar
Tomato paste
Beef stock
Chili powder
Cumin
Liquid smoke
Black pepper
If you're using dried beans they need to be reconstituted.
Brown ground beef and bacon (diced) together. Don't make the bacon too crispy. Don't drain the fat.
Onions, garlic and peppers go into food processor, or dice fine.
Throw veggies into the pot and cook down with the meat.
Add everything else but the beans, and simmer for a while, maybe 2 hours.
Add beans and let simmer 1 more hour or until the thickness is right. If it gets
too thick add more stock.
Don't forget to stir, burnt chili sucks.
Serve with Bacon Cornbread, and an ice cold beer."They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety."
