i was just talking about this sub earlier today. i really dug it in my HT. Its a hard hitter and its extension is into the teens maybe 16 or 18Hz (?)

Anyways, it was my friends and he kept it, but i found it super detailed as well as very hard hitting for a moderate sized room (20' x 24')

    hope you love it

Eric, the 3 3 is a great sub depending on room size. WHat is your cubic feet and are there opening to other rooms, what are those measurements?

My room is 15x25x10 with opening to room 10x14x10.

I could bottom out the HSU on some movies. Not the subs fault just too much room.

Should have saved for a little longer and got the new VTF-15H

I've got the 3.3 and its a very detailed sub, with a good amount of output. I too have managed to bottom it out, but I'm in a huge room (24x14x20). Even given the size of my room though, I'm only able to bottom it out at levels that are much too loud and drown out the rest of my system.

I'm running mine in 'overdamped mode' (one port open, max output mode). Extremely nuanced and detailed across the whole frequency spectrum. I bought a HSU MBM to reinforce the mid-range and it sits in a closet as I've found I don't need it!

With a room that large, Dual ULS-15s would be nice:smile:

if your room has no opening you are set. at 2200cf the 3 3 will blow you away.

To get the best from any sub you need to find best location to raise any dips and if needed something to clip the peaks.

A lot of people throw down on their sub thinking just set it in the corner and run audessy on their AVR.

In most cases they are not even close.

Hey guys. I've lurked a lot and posted once. My room is 15x22 9ft ceilings and opens to a room 12x9. Any suggestions on what to do with for a sub woofer?

    to the OP:

take your time setting up the sub, try as many different locations/angles in the room as you can(placement can make or break your sub "experience").

When I got my sub, I was NOT impressed with it at all, but once I found the sweet spot for it in the room and also allowed it to break in (loosen up) it turned into a BEAST!

In other words, don't call it good without trying a few things first ;-)

    I'm really curious...

what did you not like about the micropro2000? I am considering getting it for my 2 ch rig. Because of space constraints I need something small.

I had a pair of Polk Micro Pro DSW 3000s. That was a monster duo. Best sub setup I have had.
