Well I finally got around to wall mounting my plasma. It sat just fine on my TV stand but the problem was I didn't have a spot for my center channel. When we first got the entertainment center I had a 36" Sony XBR tube. I built a shelf for that spanned the columns for the center but when I later upgraded to a 42" LCDRP I never got around to building another shelf and the center got moved on top of the light bridge. Since moved up to a Panny 50" G10 and couldn't take it anymore.
I was looking around at wall mounts to would extend considerably from the wall and at the stores they are damn expensive ($250-300). I then decided to check out Monoprice and ended up getting a really sturdy mount for less than $75 shipped. They had cheaper ones but in reading the reviews the single arm ones seemed to be prone to sagging so I got one with cast aluminum scissor arms that was very highly reviewed. This thing is awesome. Very heavy duty and versatile.
I am very pleased with the results and it sounds so much better with the center down where it's supposed to be....

The left side is mine, the empty right is the wifes. I moved a bunch of stuff out while I worked on it. Trying to convince her to let me fill that side with more electronics but that goes over like a **** in church :biggrin: -
