Ok --
I am networking our other store..
Our old server is running Windows NT --- we currently operate about 6 computers at one time, with as many as 8 ---
With the old server hooked up - we have no issues.
Our new server is running Windows 7 pro --
I can connect to each computer fine but it will not allow more than 4 users..
Any thoughts on this?

Are you running a server edition of windows 7 or something? Windows NT was an OS built around server architecture. I'm sure Windows 7 has some capabilities, but it's not designed to be a server as far as I know.
I have not done any research specific to running Windows 7 as a server, so I could be wrong, but that's my initial thought. -
It is just a regular windows 7 pro- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit.

Like i said, I could be wrong, but I don't really think that's intended to run as a server...

Yeah, AsSiM...it's too hard to type. I think he's right. Win 7 Pro may not allow more than 4 or 5 congruent connections without paying for an expanded license. You'll need to go with Windows Server 2008 R2 (http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserver2008/en/us/default.aspx) if you want the server architecture.Expert Moron Extraordinaire

There is a max of 4 concurrent users for any version below Ultimate (maybe even Ultimate). Tell your superiors to suck it up and buy the server version. It'll make your (and their) life a lot easier.
Try this:
Type the command "Net Config Server" in Command Console and the "Maximum Logged On Users" will be listed. Usually, the maximum users are 10-20."Dr Dunn admitted that his research could also be interpreted as evidence that women are shallower than men. Your superiors deserve to be flogged for still running Windows NT!No excuses!

This is the same in my copy of Pro... Though I never have tried to connect that many times, as I only have 1 other computer
Ditto here. You might try and find a copy of Windows Server 2003 R2 versus Windows Server 2008 R2 as the latter only comes in 64-bit and you may have compatibility problems with apps if they've been running on Windows NT for all these years. Another consideration is what hardware you're running for a server. If it's just a workstation running as a server, you might need to upgrade, or replace, the hardware. -

Do you have any actual training in networking?"Dr Dunn admitted that his research could also be interpreted as evidence that women are shallower than men. I know XP would only allow 10 concurrent users. I am sure if you googled hacking the permissions you could manually change that. I don't like using servers in small offices. The anti virus software is expensive and it is not needed for basic server use in a small office.
BenPlease. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
Thanks

You can limit the number of simultaneous connections... I believe the default is set at a max of 20... perhaps someone limited it to four?
