They are nice, and you can convert them to HD595's. Looks like the deal has changed though. I see Monster headphones now. But thanks for the link looks like they'll have a lot of deals.

I recently ordered 2 of the budget cans : Audio Techina ATH -A700 and Sennheiser HD a280 after along research for less than $200.00 cans. Will report the winner of the two after a few weeks of experiment.

In case you are interested. I did the mod to mine, and to me they sound better. I've asked on Head-Fi and from what they've said that foam is the only difference between them and the HD595's.
