Jimmy Fallon does Neil Young

If you are a Neil Young fan and haven't seen Jimmy Fallon's impersonation of Mr. Young, you really should. It can be seen here and it is great. Jimmy has Neil Young down just perfectly. He is joined by Bruce Springsteen midway through the song, also in mid-70's character. They are doing an acoustic version of Willow Smith's "Whip My Hair", a very funny choice indeed.

Now, I don't know much about Willow, and I'm going out on a limb here, but I imagine she is Will Smith's kid and I'm guessing she is about nine. Now, I would absolutely recommend her version of this song to to all my nine year old friends, especially those here on the Polk Forum. However, your enjoyment of her version might be diminished somewhat if you are very much older than, say, nine. Nevertheless, if you have not seen it, you should probably watch a bit of it so as to fully get the joke. I'm certain you can find it on you tube, as I did.

I love Neil Young, and Jimmy Fallon did him well.

If someone wants to shoot Bruce Springstein, though .... I won't get in your way.

    I'm glad you enjoyed it.

The entire show is available on Fallon's web site. Springsteen performs "Because the Night" with Fallon's excellent house band "The Roots" - complete with tuba. The site is set up so you can scroll through to the performance with ease. The second song is poorly miked and has some obvious technical problems but the technical values of "Because the Night" are at least average. You'll want to put it on the HT rig. It's electrifying. If you hate Springsteen you can skip to the next paragraph.

Did any of you watch the Willow Smith original? You can see it here.
