I finally decided to implement a real audio solution in my house.
I built about a year ago, and had them pre-wire the living room for surround sound (2 front ceiling, 2 rear ceiling and 1 front center wall above the fireplace).
The wires have been hanging from my ceiling for about a year now, and I've finally found the time to do something about it.
I went with SmartHome's Select speaker series for the 5 satelites, all in-ceiling or in-wall flush mounted. (http://www.smarthome.com/820015/Smarthome-Select-5-Speaker-In-Ceiling-Surround-Sound-Package/p.aspx)
I paired this with a Polk PSW-110, and am running everything through a Pioneer VSX-820-K receiver.
Powered it on and cranked it up for the first time last night, and the sound is amazing. I jacked the bass up a bit much and got a knock on the door from the neighbors, but heh, it was worth it.
One problem I'm having intermittently. I'm getting a buzzing tone on one or both of the rear speakers occassionally when playing a game through the XBox 360. It will usually last for about 3 or 4 seconds and then go away. Any ideas?

Welcome to Club Polk !
does it occur on a specific game or any game
try switching the wires or the speakers
left to right
right to left
does the buzz occur on one or both sides
does it occur at low volume
etc,,,, -
Time for troubleshooting.
First off, see if it's the speakers or the receiver. You can do this by swapping the cables ...hook the rears to the front, front to rear, etc.
If the issue occurs again on the same speakers, it's the speakers.
If the problem moves to another speaker, it's the receiver.Main Surround -
