After Wal-Mart stopped carrying what little stereo mags they had (at least, my Wal-Mart did), I just submitted my subscription to Stereophile (via the internet). 6 to 8 weeks it just too long to wait, though :-(.

Oh well, I'll be twiddling my thumbs 'til then....

Oh, I did have a question, now that I've placed my order.... was it worth ordering? I'd like to try and stay up-to-date on the happenings in the stereo world, and figured this would be the best way..

What happened to stereo review? I can't find it anywhere, has it been pulled from the shelf for good?

You know, I got a subscription to Stereophile as a Christmas gift and I have to say in all honest that it is the most BORING thing in the world to read.

I much prefer either The Absolute Sound or there is a HiFi magazine from the UK that is really good.....

hwman, stereo review has transform into Sound & Vision, which btw, a fun one to read..
I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.

I read S&V but have been too lazy to get a subscription. I am the master of procrastination so maybe by 2010 I'll get the subscription.

one thing that I like about S&V, it reviews latest gears consistently, gives me a good sense of what is the latest trend on HT and audio. Reviews were written by Julian Hirsch, who has been in the audio world for more than 3 decades, although I have yet to find one review that says: Junk, do not buy! ;)
