From what I have read I am going to add 2,000 gram of weight to it...

This should be a huge upgrade for my system...

That Passive Radiator Brian gives you is horrible. It can barely handle the back pressure from the two active drivers...

This one moves a solid 3" peak to peak so should be able to travel far more than the VMPS one could dream of...

And if it sounds worst I will just return it - no biggie

    I don't get it. The passive only moves...what? a 1/4"? 1/2" at most?

Why in the hell would you want a 3" excursion?

Just curious, what formula did you use to determine the additional mass needed?

that is some interesting passive radiator design.

    very complicated IMO.

personally pricey too for something that is passive

Good luck with the install and I hope it makes a difference; no matter what it looks awesome though...

TC Sounds have a mass graph to show how to change the FS to as low as 10hz --

I am just guessing with my drivers that 2,000 grams will do it.

    Shall see

Well I got this installed last night -- the new one was a little larger than the old one in the frame.... so I had to chisel at the route for a bit to make room for it --

Well worth it though as we ran through some popular selections (TF 1 & 2 of course) and we cranked the VMPS about 5 DB hotter than before - which before would have causes this thing to go absolutely bonkers) and the VMPS sounds throatier, deeper, fuller - and has far more tactile impact than it could ever fathom before....

Did I mention I did not hear any bottoming out ever?

Anyways - at first I threw half the weight on there and later went back to throw it all on there and that seems to be the best method...

Anyways -- well worth the investment

The OEM radiator seemed undersized, good job!

The OEM radiator is horrible, it is a single 15" that moves line 3/4 of an inch -- and has to balance an active 15 and a 12...

That thing hits the basket like its trying to break out of jail...

I moved it to a different corner since I am getting rid of my tyler acoustics subs and now it is about 17 ft away - can you say AWESOME???

    Oh man ---

Once my Outlaw amp gets here for my centers I will be rockin and rollin

We played Assault on Home Tree tonight with Tom and Russ here --

We had it at Reference Levels, plenty of subsonics and ZERO bottoming or hints of distortion.

    Unfreakin belieable

Trey, I just pulled the trigger on a VMPS 215 sub with megawoofer upgrades (old style) on the driver and passive.

Are you still impressed with this TC passive radiator?
