Will these sound good against the rear wall and 5-6 ft away from the listening position?

    It doesn't sound optimal. However, sometimes the room just can't accommodate optimal. They do better with more room to breath and at least 8 ft from the listener. How far are they from the side walls?

    I was having issues with the bass sounding muddy and found it was all in positioning.
