They are the dimple top, black base, single O getter with no hole in the guide version. Labeled AMPREX in white print, but mostly rubbed off. Looks like 1980 RFT mfg.

I'll take the Quad of SED's Winged C's

I really don;t need a quad so if someone out there wants to split them w/me I'd be happy to do that and perhaps Jon can add a bit more for shipping 2 instead of I package.

The Amperex do indeed look like RFT's manufacture made in E. Germany.

The SEDs are yours H9. We can see if anyone wants to split the quad and work out any shipping needed. Let me know.
The Svetlanas listed are also actually SED mfg. These are pre 2003 manafacture when SED still had the Svetlana name in the USA.

Looking for someone who might want to split the quad of Winged C's I bought. I really don't need a quad so if someone else needs a pair I'm happy to split them up.

Jon, ideally I'd like a pair of SED's and a pair of the Amperex if you don't get a bite on selling them as quads perhaps you'll consider that. I already have a new pair of SED's so a quad is overkill when my amp only uses a pair.

Let this idea marinate for awhile and let me know. If in the end you don't want to do that I'll still take the quad of SED's.

This unit has three seperatly filtered power output sections (digital, analog, and high current) that are sequentially inititated when the unit is powered up or powered down (reverse order). I am the original owner and used it until my dedicated curciuts were installed. Original box and manual are included. Front and back attachements with dimmers for the included gooseneck light. This was designed to be rack mounted, but I added some stick on rubber feet to the bottom and placed it on a shelf.

I am not familiar with the TL072 opamp to say if the 2604 is a direct replacement. Someone else hare may be able to comment or you will need to look at the data sheets (avaliable online by google) and compare the operating parameters. If they are I do have some sockets that could be soldered onto the board and would include them.

Hi Doc. I'm looking for a pair of 6SL7 drivers for my Cary power amp. How would you compare the Sylvania VT 229's to the Tung Sol 6SU7's and the RCA 5691's? Thanks.

For drivers I would look at the 5691 or 6SU7. Both are a full bodied with good extension. I think I like the RCA 5691 a little better, but it is close. The Sylvania is a more open tube with greater air, but the specific ones I have were tested to be Moving Coil curcuit quiet and realy deserve to be in a curcuit that would benefit from that quality. Most driver tubes doe not have that critical of a noise issue. I bought the Sylvanias for a phono pre I owned and between the time I ordered them from Andy at Vacuum Tube Services and him shipping them after extensive testing, I purchased a VAC preamp with a built in phono section. I sold the phono pre and now have these outstanding tubes to find a home for. The Tung Sols or RCAs would work well in the driver position on any amp. I used the 5691 in my Shanling SP80 in the driver position with excellent results (that is why I have collected them) and the Tung Sols were used for a short test period in the same amps, probably not fair breakin time as they were NOS when I bought them.
