Got this in today and I seem to have gotten it working right with digital input. It uses a preout for the sub (there are 2 sub preouts) and I plugged into the LFE on the sub.
Not so much with the multi-channel input on the receiver. No output. This is important as I need this for my BR discs since I don't have HDMI on the receiver.
Although the Rotel RSX 1067 has a multichannel input for the sub, I am not sure how that signal gets to the sub. I thought maybe the sub analog out from the BDP would go right into the sub since the receiver digital processor does not affect other analog inputs. In the sub set up for the receiver, there is an option to change the volume level for multichannel input. That did not seem to work.
Then I thought that maybe just switching to external input into the receiver would use the sub preout to send the signal. That did not work. I did not try sub 2.
Assuming I use the sub 2 preout, I only have one LFE input.
Anyone still with this explanation.....good, some help....thanks very much.
