Hi, urgent advice appreciated.

Opportunity to buy a pair of used Fxi3 and PSW505 for $300. I think this is a pretty good deal.

I looked at the specs of the FXi3s and they appear to be identical to the newer FXiA4s. PSW505 appears to be pretty good and man what a beast!

Anything that I should be aware of? Issues?

Also I am picking up a CSi3 as well from a different buyer for $100
These will be paired with my RTi70s and run through a Yamaha RX-v667...

Don't mean to brag but I think I did all right to sources these for $400? Please tell me I am right! But seriously I would be stupid not to get these right?

I'd do it. Be a good system for the price.
My entire Polk system was about like this:

    RTi70 + CSi3 + PSW303 = $150
    RT55 = $50
PSW150 (beast) = Free (i've had it forever, dad gave it to me)
RT F/X = free (same as above)
    All hooked through a Pioneer 1019 ($100)

Deals can be had... just have to look.
    Main Surround -
    Epson 8350 Projector/ Elite Screens 120" / Pioneer Elite SC-35 / Sunfire Signature / Focal Chorus 716s / Focal Chorus CC / Polk MC80 / Polk PSW150 sub

 $*it! and I thought I got a deal! That is the deal of the century... thanks for bursting my bubble: wink:

In my defense it is a little harder to find good deals in Canada...especially in Ottawa! More expensive, less selection, less volume.. and then there is the extra loops to get stuff sent from the states... you are right deals to be had but you just have to wait a lot longer...

that system should rock pretty good. man you got everything together pretty quick. What is the Canadian dollar worth to the US dollar now? I suppose I can google that. I have two PSW505's I got the 2nd one from polk direct for $197. I have them paired up with RT16's

Some day i would like to compare Rti70's to my RT16's, I would really like to replace them with RTi a9's though.

I definitely feel and share your pain as we are on the same boat!

The last time I heard (few days ago) it was less than a .01 difference so could say on par (but when goods come from the US we still somehow get "twisted in" if you get the drift!.

This is a no brainer, if the gear is in good condition and legit, go for it. I wish I could snag this away. You should run/jump for this deal ASAP!

Picked up the speakers last night and... They were immaculate! positively 10/10 looked like they just came out of the box. Got them home and set-up and  my what a difference. Need to make some adjustments though as centre seems almost too powerful (maybe the bass volume or the cross over freq?) Also have to mount the FXi3s better.

Now I have to decide if I want to pick up some sides that he had as well...hmmm... its a slippery slope...
