Restored RTA 15t - CS Recommendation Needed

I am a new Club Polk member but long time lurker. I recently bought a pair of RTA 15ts with the SL3000 tweeters for $30 in good condition at a Goodwill. I was excited to say the least! They just had cosmetic damage so I restored them. Thanks to the forum for help with the restoration through some older posts!

I am looking for recommendations for a center speaker to match them. Should I look for a vintage model from the same time or go with a newer model that is recommended by Polk? At the moment I have a Paradigm Center. While a great little speaker, it is the smallest version they have and does not blend great with the 15ts IMO.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Yeah....I saw them from across the room and almost knocked over a few kids to get to them. Could not believe the condition and price. Only had to replace a binding post.

How much of a difference would I notice between a cs350 and cs400? I can not imagine to much difference at all. Thanks for the quick reply btw!

I have had both and would go for the 350 I think it would match better with your rta15's too, but wait for others to chime in.

I like the 350 suggestion too....but it's not a huge deal either way.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

There are 2 stores in my town that can be amazing. I also picked up some Polk Monitor 40s for $15. My wife gets so mad at me and doesn't understand whether I need them or not....I HAVE to buy them at that price hehe.

There is so much action around the beltway. I just wish traffic didn't suck so much 24/7

Yeah, it's a Polk goldmine. After 100+ pairs or so I stopped caring.

The really really good deals you just have to get lucky at thrift stores. CL ones are gone instantly if someone puts it up that cheap. For every great find, there are dozens of empty finds at those stores.

January is a great time to look. Lots of people give stuff away to thrift stores after Christmas.

I wouldn't go that far. Thrift stores, Goodwill and Flea Markets suck and usually just have junk that's broke or overpriced.

After a week or so looking around for the CS 350 I realized I am going to have a hard time finding one quick (which I need).

Since I put the RDO 198 tweeter in my 15Ts, would it still be the best bet to get the CS 350 which has the Tri-Lam tweeter or a more recent speaker that might match the silk RDO 198 better? The Polk FAQ recommends CSiA6 or CSiA4 but I have no experience with either of those.

Any suggestions for a more recent center to match the 15T? Again, thanks in advance!
