Wireless PreAmp

I was just looking at some wireless amps and thought this is not really what I would be interested in. Does anyone know if there is such a thing as a wireless preamp?
So I want to connect my rear speakers to their own amp. For Example:
-- Main Location --
Receiver --> wireless transmitter from preamp outputs. Left, Right and Sub
-- Remote Location --
Wireless PreAmp --> receives signal from transmitters into PreAmp inputs
Wireless PreAmp --> PreAmp outputs to 5,000 watt amp and sub ;-)
Amp --> Receive wired input from PreAmp
Amp --> Output wires to two rear speakers

sound like an unusual type of device.
perhaps for a unique and custom application.
consumer wireless more in telephony ie bluetooth
ps. alot of wireless professional microphones and stage equipment -
Never heard of a wireless pre. I generally tell people to stay away from wireless speakers unless they really have to. I have never heard a wireless system that I liked.Sunfire TGP, Sunfire Cinema Grand, Sunfire 300~2 (2), Sunfire True Sub (2),Carver ALS Platinum, Carver AL III, TFM-55, C-19, C-9, TX-8, SDA-490t, SDA-390t

That's why a wireless preamp made more sense to me. Get the signal for the preamp, then boost it with a good amp. I presume this would be better sound quality.Main Home Theater

why not just have a wireless remote control system
with a control receiver in every room or designated room / area
