Will they finance the rest you think?

Been doing business in Asia last 10 years so no credit, rating is around 650+ (shrug). Oh ya and there's a little tax lien outta CA.
Heading back to close escrow on a new home in Vegas and need some wheels.

My other option is a used one with 7k miles on it for 62k cash, but not the ideal choice.

    ha thats funny.

In this day and age with tighter regs, yeah thats bad, at least from what I've seen by lenders (and I work for one, with us good luck getting a loan on anything even FHA). Check the lenders reqs first with credit score blah blah blah depending on where its coming from exceptions can be made yada yada yada.

If you have that kind of cash to put out for a rapid depreciating auto, I would suggest that you take that cash and try to buy investment property in "Lost in Vegas" (Las Vegas). homes are dirt cheap right now, but will appreciate in the near future.

    Think about your future.

    Just my $.02

    Good luck with your decidion.

And people wonder why Collyfornyah has massive, crippling debt loads.

PA and NJ started throwing people who owed back taxes in jail if they didn't apply for amnesty and make payment arrangements. Maybe Collyfornyah should follow the lead?

Taxes suck but everybody's gotta pay them. Dunno what makes you so special.

CA cannot afford the $40k a year it would cost to put someone in jail for back taxes. Plus the cost of the trial. They are better off just to write you off and forget about the money you owe than to try to collect.

That's assuming that jail time wouldn't motivate people to pay up (which I think it would).

I would be more concerned with rebuilding your credit score than dropping a huge chunk of money on a car. You need a daily driver, sure, but you DON'T need a BMW M3.

Nice to know you feel bad about it. So do we, seeing that the one's who do pay taxes will have to eventually foot the bill for your behavior. Whatever it is your selling, keep it.

That doesn't exempt you from paying your taxes. You owe what you owe. You aren't special, you aren't exempt. You basically say you don't feel bad for owing what everyone else owes as well. As stated, we will have to foot the bill for you.

And for that a big middle finger, because I do pay my taxes, and have been. I don't give two craps how long you owed it for or how long you haven't been in the country, if you owe it, you owe it.

I'm looking into amnesty programs. But if CA comes knocking, I'll lawyer up and compromise.
