Dilemma CSi3 with RTi70s for a quick fix?

I just picked-up a new AMP - Yamaha RX-V667 which has started me on the path of upgrading my surround sound system. I am thinking that I want to try to match my fronts (RTi70s) with a good quality center to start. I will worry about the surrounds and sub later.

Question: natural pairing would be the CSi40 these are hard to come-by. My next choice would be a CSi5 but a little pricy and may just wait for a CSi40 to come available.

Here is the Dilemma: Local seller is selling a CSi3 for a good price ($100), I think that this will suit me well (and much better than my un matched BA center) until a CSi40 or a CSi5 comes available locally. Will the CSi3 pair well with My RTi70s, will the CSi3 be powerful enough?

My room demensions viewing room area 13x17 with an open room off to the side which represents an additional 18x 18 space lets say.

here is my current system

Fronts - Polk Audit RTi70s
Centre - old Baston Acoustic (mid 90's v404 or something..)
Surrounds - satellites from Polk Surround system RM6200
Sub - PSW 250 - 8" from the RM6200

Urget hwlp comments appreciated as I am closing the deal tomorrow night!

That's what I'm using with my RTi70's right now and it matches fairly well. I have no problems, but will probably be upgrading to something larger. If I choose to use my RTi70s in my main theater instead of my Klipsch system I may go with a full sized center :)
    Main Surround -
    Epson 8350 Projector/ Elite Screens 120" / Pioneer Elite SC-35 / Sunfire Signature / Focal Chorus 716s / Focal Chorus CC / Polk MC80 / Polk PSW150 sub

    Bedroom - Sharp Aquos 70" 650 / Pioneer SC-1222k / Polk RT-55 / Polk CS-250

    Den - Rotel RSP-1068 / Threshold CAS-2 / Boston VR-M60 / BDP-05FD

I am using a CSi30 with RT12's (older Rt's not RTi12) works fine. I would like to upgrade to a CSi40 at some point, it will just offer a little more bass. A CSi40 sold last week on the bay for $86 and I only paid like $72 for my 30. I would offer the guy $75.

hey guys thanks for the response. good to hear the reassurance. As I said it will be a temporary fix until I can find a CSi5 or perferably a CSi40. The listening position is about 12 feet away so want to ensure the centre channell is powerful enough.

As I am from Canada it is always a little harder finding equipement... also more expensive...:frown: hey but there are other advantages:wink:
