remastered CD sound quite good.. for detail esp... still can't get used to the extreme left and right panning though. but the sound quality is very high.

The Beatles on iTunes is pretty cool...
...but I don't think it's nearly as cool or eventful as Apple made it out to be on their teaser ;p

And this is coming from an Apple fan.

I guess it is okay for those that like lossy music, but Apple still sucks for not selling lossless, and high-res files.

I will NEVER give up owning the physical medium. I love having a CD to hold and liner notes to read. I own both the stereo and mono box sets and I wouldn't sell them for anything. Pure magic, especially the mono albums. The sound quality is outstanding. Now, if they would just put out the whole catalog on SACD or, better yet, DVD-A, I'd buy it in a heartbeat!

I say the same but at the same time do you understand the bandwidth not only they would have to have but yourself? I would rather have cd's anyway.

Dude, dont wait till xmas! You got to listen to the mono box set. I got it the day it came out and its truly awesome. You wont believe Sgt. Pepper. If you've never heard it in mono you're in for a treat. Same with Revolver and the White Album. Overall, the mono mixes just have more balls than the stereo versions. Overall though, I'd have to say that Abbey Road is the best of all the albums, stereo or mono. Open it up and enjoy wayne!!!

When the mono was released it was advertised as a limited edition run, and once they were gone then no more will be made. Maybe it is a one time offering, but they must have made 10 trillion billion copies.
