Picked up these Kappa 9's from a Polkie and just wanted to share my little project progress...
Coming along nicely...just need to add a coat of poly and replace the upper subwoofer dustcap.

I have always wanted a pair of these, or RS II's, even those I have never heard either! And there is a set of RS II's local to me for $400 obo.

So how do these compare to SDA's?

EDIT: Phenominal job you did restoring them btw....

I think you can get dust caps from partsexpress.
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks

Thanks guys! Took about 2.5 days part time for one speaker. Wish I were done...
I used Citristripper and it worked great. Tons of cleanup, but for the most part the paint came right off. 2 coats of stain, and I'm hoping to get away with a single coat of poly.

Nice work man. If they sound as good as they look they should be a treat!
