Energy is a great speaker, they used to be their own company but now are owned by klipsch along with Jamo. I have had some Energy bookshelf speakers and they sounded fabulous. I say go for it!

Energy has made some pretty good products. I have a pair of RC-10s that are very nice.

I have NOT heard the newer CB-20s but I don't see how a speaker priced a third less than the RC-10s would outdo LSI-9s? I suspect what you're hearing is the 92db efficiency of the Energies and the metal dome which is less laid back than the Vifa in the LSIs and needs far less power to project and image? In addition the LSI-9s should blow the CB-20s away on the LOW end?

Just my opinion. I like the RC-10s fine....but I'm still picking up a set of LSI-7s because I think they're more musical--but the Energys are no slouches--probably a Best Buy in their price category?

I was at BB today and all I had to say about the CB-20 is YUK! My Monitor 40s sound way better! The CB-20 reminded me of old boom box speakers.
Things are more like they are now than they ever will be!
