Harmony website will only let you register one remote per account? I have 2 Harmony remotes (one for upstairs set-up and one for downstairs) and needed to sign up for a 2nd account in order to set-up the 2nd remote. why not just have submenu's that allows you to switch from remote to remote? I just think its redundant and stupid.

End of rant.........

Funny thing is that I used the same e-mail, but had to use a new id and password. I even have 2 of the exact same remote. It's just redundant to me and something that makes absolutely no sense. That said, it's not that big of a deal I guess to do it.

They probably think that with such versatile and complete remote one would realize they only need one to control their entire environment. They might think it is a no-no to buy multiple remotes from them and that their consumers would know that and therefore would need to register only one remote per account :tongue::tongue:

Never knew that. I have three identical Harmony remotes, two of them I use, one is a spare. But they are all programmed the same, so after getting my configuration just right, I just plug in each of the other remotes, and hit update remote. Works fine.

In a perfect world, I would have 2 identical systems. But I have one for the tv/ht room (everything in my signature) and one for the bedroom (ps3, cable box and tv with thoughts of putting a 5.1 rig in there).

I just wonder what the purpose of that is; I know quite a few people who have multiple harmony remotes and it seems that it would be an easy fix for their website to add multiple remotes for each account if you own more than one.

I guess, I can expand on my statement about 4 remotes. I'm using Harmony 890 as my HT remote and love it. 2nd (659) is at my parents' place - their main HT remote.3rd (520) was bought to replace a California Audio Labs CD changer remote. The remote on ebay was like $75 shipped to Canada. Logitech 520 was like $30. 4th was sold (my old 720), but I still have an account for it, not sure why.
