so I bought two front speakers from new egg Monitor 70s, i then went to get the matching center channel (CS2) found a great deal and ordered it. Upon receiving I realized I bought a CS20, its for the newer speakers, and is not timbre matched to the monitor 70s. Is that going to be something I even notice? Is the CS20 just a bigger version anyway?

No, actually it's a better center channel, so be happy. Don't worry about the timbre, in this case, but ensure that you calibrate the system properly.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

As doro said, it will sound great as long as your HT is set-up properly. Do you have an HT calibration disc?
