Anyone have any experience with the Maverick Audio A1 integrated amp? I need something with a small case size for my pc audio system. The tube it uses is a little off-beat but they have an upgrade to a Raytheon NOS tube.

Thoughts?

I have the D1 and it was used at PF10 as a DAC and pre for a little while. For the money I think they are pretty good products. Definitely entry level. The small size works well with a desktop set up.

I've heard Scott's Maverick and it's a great value to say the least. I really like the flexibility and the number of input options is impressive.

I've got a little Musiland USB DAC that works good, so don't need the D1. Hopefully the A1 is the same level of quality as the D1. The headfi.com forums speak positively about the A1. I've got a Cambridge Audio 550 integrated taking up too much space in the pc system, need something smaller and don't need that level of integrated. I'll be driving my modded AV123 ELT-525 monitors with it.

You might check out the inside of those AV123 monitors to see if some financial documentation was hidden inside.

Mine were Zero's review pair, so I think they were before the evidence went missing!

I have the Maverick D1 and A1 and I'm very happy with the sound via headphones or speakers.

I got the D1 and A1 as well and am extremely pleased with their performance (and even more so when you factor size and moolah)
