GLS Audio 24K Gold Banana Plugs Black Chrome HQ BS20

I'm looking at the banana plugs mentioned above or the GLS locking bananas and was wondering if anyone has the chrome ones. Do they squeeze the wire in place as they say on the site, what size wire are you using? I know there is at least one screw to tighten. Their ebay page has some really good close up pics. I think the chrome ones look better than the locking ones but want to ensure they work as well too. I don't think the locking aspect is absolutely necessary but I can appreciate the benefits. Any insight is welcome.

Personally, I use GLS Audio's other locking plugs....not sure what chrome ones you're talking about but those black chrome sets look nice.

Here's a close-up pic of Ben's Silver speaker wires that I own utilizing GLS Audio plugs. Awesome speaker wire paired with awesome plugs

The locking feature is really nice to have, especially if you like to move speakers around when experimenting with positioning/toe in/out/etc and hate to have wires coming loose on ya.

GLS plugs are nice. I use the same ones Freddy has pictured.

I'm using Kimber Kable 4tc which is 13 gauge. There's no need to double up or fold the wire.

I think a handful of members are using them and are happy. The dual lockdown for the wire terminations is very nice.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

They are nice terminations as long as you are okay with screw down. I prefer solder as I can never seem to seat those screws 100%, but I have had good success with both GLS bananas and RCAs, and their price is hard to beat.

I also use the locking plugs kawizix9r has pictured (12 ga wire) and have been very happy with them. I like the fact that one screw holds the wire in place by applying pressure to the jacket and the other makes the contact with the bare wire. I agree soldered connections would be ideal, but these plugs work very well for me.

I use the locking with 10ga wire and they work great. The non-locking get a bit loose over time if you pull them out and put them back in very often.

The non-locking GLS banana is bad, almost costing me a new amp. Tt loosen up and the fins got flatten out over time.
I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.
