Mid-life crisis in full bloom!

I'm jumping back in to the forum after my over 2 year hiatus. Can't believe it's been that long! Has it? Who knows!

In that period of time I managed to want to punch most of my family in the face for driving me nearly insane, then bought a house (in it 2 years last month), made 2 job changes to my current position with Hewlett Packard, quit the stripclub business all together (yeah, let me have it guys!), spent alot of loot fixing up the house and finally...getting my motorcycle license and new 2011 Harley Davidson Fat Bob.

Trying to keep up with caring for a 3br house, a growing career with travel involved and the stripclub stuff pushed me to the edge. I was working 7 days a week with zero social life. I'm under the mind set that you can **** about your problems or you can fix them, so it was time to fix them! The club stuff had to go! About the only thing I do miss is photographing the young hotties! It's been 6 months since I dumped it and don't regret it one bit.

All the work and personal sacrifice over the years have paid off though. I got a house, career, the home theater I always wanted and most other things I've dreamed about (still waiting to marry a Playboy centerfold). I get to walk out of my house, jump on my Harley all the while looking at this view out back of my house. This is a shot standing about 20 feet from my back yard.

1088794794_Drvck-XL.jpg

I don't have direct water access like the homes across the water. I'm not a boat person anyway.

So theres my story and I'm sticking to it! Hope all you Polk Goons have been well and haven't been too hard on noobs asking the difference between high end speaker cables and lamp cord.

John
No excuses!

For me...I've kind of been in that mental state since I was 15. I just call it "The Human Condition". I expect it to last till I'm with Doro (six feet under). lol

Thanks everyone! Overall it's been quite an adventure these last 2+ years with a few bumps, but nothing that couldn't be handled. I just didn't take crap from anyone and pushed to get what the hell I wanted!

Shack, if I recall, you were made honorary Secretary of Finance on the forum, right? Well, when buying my home, I didn't get all hung up with trying to outdo everyone in creation by spending beyond my means. I shopped and scored something very nice for myself that was well within my budget. Actually, I just refinanced 3 months ago, going from 6.25% to 4.875% on a 30 year fixed with almost nothing out of pocket. The money saved still goes every month toward the mortgage.

Here's the Sedona Orange 2011 Fat Bob. I put 174 miles on it the last 3 days, including 74 today.

You'll be happy to know that in my effort to fully embrace the Harley Davidson way of life, I dropped some coin on a pair of leather assless chaps! One very chilly day of riding with my legs going numb sent me that route!

I was hoping we could get together, throw on some Village People and give each other lap dances. Lemme know!

The Fat Bob was almost $17k.
